Alcaniz, Spain - In the last European round before the Overseas, Corsi and Ramirez battle it out at the Spanish track, in a very balanced weekend.
There is a lot of balance in the three days of racing at Aragon, with all the riders in the category bunched within just over a second. After an overall positive Friday, with Ramirez protagonist in the first two free practice sessions, constantly in the Top10, a few tenths from the best, Saturday gave some more difficulties for the riders of the Italian-Swiss Racing Team. A lot of traffic and great tussle of riders in Q1, saw Simone Corsi score a best lap time of 1'53.364 which guarantees him the eighth row of the starting grid tomorrow. Similar situation for Marcos Ramirez who finished just over a tenth behind his team-mate with a time of 1'53.487: tomorrow the Spanish will start from the ninth row. There remains the bitter taste in the mouth of not having been able to advance to the next round where, with the same times, he could have fought for the sixth row. The appointment is set for tomorrow with the WarmUp at 9:20, preceding the 21-lap race that will start at 12:20.
